Disadvantages of i-Mode: 

• Script-support, Java-support: i-Mode has no support for any script language and Java. 

• Not a real programming language: Because cHTML is just parts of HTML, there is no real base for any updates or upgrades like in WML. 

• For English users: Since i-Mode was made for the Japanese alphabet, English words are sometimes cut off in the middle.

The sign on the left stands for "Phone" and the sign on the right for "Sunny" (weather). 

Who is using i-Mode ?

The typical i-Mode user is in her late twenties and a female. Many young business women are using i-Mode to play games and chat/interact with others. On the other hand, the typical WAP user is male, in his 30's and uses WAP for business only. Most WAP users are not even thinking of using WAP for entertainment purposes, because the transmission rates are much too slow.
