-1.The smash hit "Mohrhuhnjagd" now also available for cell phones (March 2000) Phenomedia AG wants to use the WAP technology to introduce his famed European computer game to the cell phone. The game is very popular at companies which don't have extremely busy employees.

Atrada is one of the pioneers in WAP auctions and wants to establish a very easy and yet detailed auction with WAP.

1.Wireless Companion (Feb 2000)
The Wireless Companion is a new service from YOURWAP.com which simulates the display of all available cell phones and lets the user test interactive WAP-services. The Wireless Companion can be downloaded for free at http://www.yourwap.com

2.WAP Portal by Debitel (Feb 2000)
Debitel adds WAP to its internet services. Now WAP users can get a vast amount of information, links and tips to WAP at the Debitel WAP-Portal. http://www.debitel.net

3.Cooperation of Motorola and Phone.com (Feb 2000)
Motorola will integrate the UP.Link-WAP-Gateway by Phone.com into its Mobile Internet Exchange (MIX) communication platform. In the near future Motorola will also use the browser of Phone.com with its wireless handhelds and cell phones.

4.AFP starts a WAP-Service for cell phones. (Feb 2000)
The French news agency AFP (Agence France Presse) delivers news of its partners especially in the WAP format. Cooperation partners are mostly
telecommunications companies and online businesses. The service will have such areas of interest as "top news", "business", "US news", "world", "sports" and "people". Besides English, the service will also be offered in German, French, Spanish and Portuguese.

5.Customized WAP-Portals by IMCOS (Feb 2000)
Based on the database IMCOS (International Mobile Content Service) the company Wapjag will offer anyone the WAP content they want. The customers can choose from over 3000 categories and customize their portals to their needs. IMCOS will be sold as an OEM product and include all the world-wide available WAPJAG material. 6.Secure e-commerce through WAP certificate (Feb 2000)
The security-provider TC TrustCenter from Hamburg, Germany is introducing one of the first security certificates for WAP applications. This will help to make shopping, stock exchange and e-banking, a reality. The TC TrustCenter will issue internet users a personal ID under which they will do business. The German bank giants Commerzbank, Dresdner Bank, Deutsche Bank and Hypo Vereinsbank have each invested 25 %.

7.Free internet-organizer (Feb 2000)
CAS Software AG from Germany introduced at the CeBit2000 a new free internet service FreeOffice.de. The organizer offers a detailed calendar with to-do lists, vacation planning, an address book for business and private contacts and a secure area for private information. The service will make it possible to access personal data by PC, notebook, PDA or a WAP cell phone from all over the world. 8.Symbian presents the first intergrated platform for mobile computing (Feb 2000)
The mobile computing platform (Codename Quartz) is for manufacturers of wireless devices and makes it possible to use a pen-based "communicator reference design" for mobile language- and data-communication. Users of this platform will be able to reach a great number of other smart phones and communicators which are based on the same symbian platform. The Quartz Reference Design includes a jotter (for notes), contacts and PIM, messaging applications such as e-mail, fax as well as Web- and WAP-browsing. All applications are optimized for viewing it on the VGA screen of a mobile device

9.Book flights with WAP (Feb 2000)
TISS.COM presents the first WAP application with which one can access all flights of the 500 IATA-airlines (International Air Transport Association). Every user of a WAP cell phone (or any other device which supports WAP) can access flight information at http://wap.tiss.com. The user can also access arrival times, delays and pay the flights with credit cards !

10.WAP lottery (Feb 2000)
Germany: One of the first m-commerce applications is playing lotto with WAP. This application has been developed by fluxx.com and T-Mobil (a German telecomm unications company). Users of T-Mobil can try their luck over their cell phone. The big advantage is that you can play from anywhere at anytime. Since 1998 the companies already offer a normal internet lottery at http://www.jaxx.de

11.Price estimations for used cars (Feb 2000)
In cooperation with Eurotax Schwacke ORBIT GmbH, located in Bonn, represents the well-known SCHWACKE-LIST to WAP-users. From now on everyone with a WAP-cellphone can find out within seconds the actual value of his car or motorbike simply by punching in the basic data of the vehicle. 12.Award-winning translation-service for the mobile internet (Feb 2000)
Linguatec starts the worlds first translation service for Wap-cell phones. Now the WAP-cell user can translate words as well as entire sentences online by using the wap-portal of D2-WAP or http://www.pt-wap.de. Right now the service is available in German and English only, but will be on the market in French from april on. For their innovative service Linguatec was honored with an award from Mannesmann and Nokia.

13.International telephone information via WAP (Feb 2000)
Varetis starts ist first international telephonservice/information for T-mobile. The service is based on the Varetis-solution IDA-WAP (Internet Directory Access. Wireless Application Protocol). For the beginning Varetis offers T-D1 customers online access to the
phonebooks of Austria, Switzerland and the U.S. Other countries will follow soon. Since Feb.7th2000 Varetis AG is listed at the New Market(listed securities) of the Frankfurt Stock exchange. 14.CheckCom Inc. offers first free WAP e-shop (March 2000)
CheckCom presents the first free WAP e-shop 1800FreeShop.com. Now it's possible to sell and buy, get information and even to participate in auctions over your WAP phone. CheckCom has created an application which makes it possible to access the 1800FreeShop with your cell phone as well as with the computer. The eShop includes easy administration- and WAP-configuration tools, which makes it easy even for beginners to start and sell products and information worldwide over the internet and WAP. For businesses, who want to offer their products also to mobile customers, CheckCom has developed the mCommerce server which is based on Linux. 15.Generate WAP pages for free with the WML generator (Feb. 2000)
The WAP portal ccWAP.de offers the possibility to create WAP pages for free. All you have to do is enter the data for the page into a form and click the "Generate" button ! Also offered is WAP-hosting and WAP-email. You can find the generator at: http://www.ccwap.com/wizzard.htm

16.Free international phonebook with WAP (Feb. 2000)
The company Varetis from Germany starts an international phone directory service. The service is based on the Varetis application IDA.wap (Internet Directory Access. WAP). At first only customers of the German Telco TD-1 with a WAP phone can access the phone indexes of Austria, Switzerland, Germany and the USA. More countries are planned soon. Since Feb. 7, 2000 Varetis AG has been in the stock market. Varetis is an international leader in directory solutions for telecommunication, call centers and the internet.

17.Philips info service for WAP phones (Feb. 2000)
Philips Germany starts an info service for WAP phones. The company offers a daily review of their position in the stock market, as well as product information. You can also choose to get complete press releases directly e-mailed to your account. Philips also presented new WAP phones (such as the new version of the Xenium 989). Until the phones are finally brought to the market, Philips works on a solution to make the displays clearer and better. All WAP phones will be compatible to all WAP gateways and WAP 1.1 .

18.Calculations and analysis on your cell phone display (Feb. 2000)
As many software manufacturers point out, the possibility of displaying business graphics would revolutonize WAP. Laptops are not quite as effective for keeping up-to-date as WAP cell phones could be. With a certain kind of layout and keeping the information to a mininum all business clients and employees could be informed wherever they are.

19.News from the internet right to your cell phone (Feb. 2000)
The COIN Corporate Interactive AG in Hannover, Germany and StarWAP AG from Munich, Germany have developed an application with which you can directly transmit XML-based content from the internet to a cell phone. The service "Web-to-SMS" has been online since the beginning of February. Another SMS-news-service starts in April. The customer will be able to choose from different interest areas and gets at most 3 messages in his/her favorite interest area. The fourth message will be an advertising. If the customer
wants more information, he/she can order an unlimited number of SMS each day with no advertising for a small fee.

20.E-commerce applications with your cell phone from Materna (Feb. 2000)
Nixdorf and Materna are developing a platform for specialized applications, which could be particularly interesting for the travel business. The application is based on the CUSS-standard of the International Air Transport Association (IATA). With this new e-commerce solution it is possible to get queries for information over any WAP cell phone. The WAP gateway and WAP portal of Materna are also for HP platforms. The
goal of this cooperation is to better mobile e-services of HP everytime and everywhere.

21.WOW! Wireless brings news for the mobile internet and WAP phones (February 2000)
WOW ! Wireless is an international internet service, which offers news from the wireless-industry. WOW! Wireless cooperates with Sonerea Zed/Global Mobile Portal

22.News for the mobile life: Satarna Interactive (Feb 2000)
Satarna Interactive is a digital consulting- and design-company. Satarna helps its clients to communicate better with their customers through mobile technologies. This mission is split in four basic services: e-commerce, e-branding, e-RM (electronic relationship management) and mobile internet. Satarna interactive develops a partnership with WOM and Sonera Zed a mobile internet.

23.Buy used cars and candybars with WAP... (Feb 2000)
Materna offers providers a used car price-comparison over WAP as well as many other services. Materna is currently working on many other real mobile commerce applications. You can even order a candybar from a vending machine with WAP.

24.With your cell phone right onto the internet (Feb 2000)
Materna Informations & Communication offers the Materna WAP Gateway as basis for innovative WAP applications. The Materna WAP gateway also has many useful tools for the mobile internet. In combination with the Materna WAP gateway, Materna wants to make some media available for mobile customers. For example access to internal company information, which only could have been accessed at the work PC will also be available on the road with a cell phone.
